Callahan's Lodge is delighted to be on your path whether you are a thru hiker or just on a section jaunt!

Enjoy dining hospitality: a tall cool lemonade sipped on the dining deck, a selection of one of a dozen beers on tap, a generous carb meal of Callahan's classic spaghetti or a T-bone steak cooked to your liking.  Those who also long for a hot shower, laundry facility and a soft spot to stay the night have found the right place.

How to find us. . .

Going North, approximately five miles after crossing the Mt. Ashland Ski Road, the PCT will cross 3 dirt roads spaced fairly close together.  Above the 3rd road, there is a small rectangular, wooden, directional Callahan's sign posted high on a tree.  Follow that road straight down the mountain approximately 400'.  Cross a dirt road straight down to the railroad yard and across the RR tracks in a northeasterly direction.  You will see another steep short dirt road leading to the intersection of Interstate 5 and Exit 6.  Cross under the freeway.  Callahan's occupies the northeast quadrant of that intersection. There is a shower and laundry facility just for you!

If you do not plan to book a room in the lodge (a thing you would not regret) you can check in with the front desk at the lodge and get directions to the hiker shower and laundry room. Your amenities (sweet smelling spa quality shampoo, conditioner, lotion and oatmeal body soap) are presented with your experience. Then, unroll your sleeping bag on Callahan's huge grassy backyard. You’ll be lulled to sleep with the lovely sounds of the waterfall there.

The Package Deal

We accept and hold your re-supply box. When you arrive, check in at our front desk. You can do a load of laundry (no sleeping bags, please) take a hot shower, pitch your tent on any level spot you like, then have a seat on our dining deck or in the dining room. Order a salad, bottomless plate of spaghetti served with our artisan baked bread. Enjoy live music till 9 pm, maybe later. You will sleep like a baby and later than usual.When you awaken (after 8 am, please) come to breakfast and dine on a dish of three strips of bacon, scrambled eggs,fresh fruit and all the potato pancakes you can eat.

All this is yours for just forty-five well-spent bucks (excluding gratuity) $45
